Sleep quality is crucial for the healthy physical and psychological development of children. Sleep disorders can lead to behavioral issues, learning difficulties, and hormonal imbalances.
A sleep study (polysomnography) is a painless diagnostic procedure performed during the child’s natural sleep—typically overnight. It records a variety of parameters, including chest and abdominal movement, oxygen saturation, snoring signal and airflow, heart rate. The test is conducted using non-invasive sensors and, with our specialized equipment, can even be performed at home if necessary.
It is recommended in cases of severe snoring or suspected obstructive sleep apnea, prematurity-related breathing issues, central hypoventilation syndromes, neurological or neuromuscular disorders, chronic lung diseases or to adjust ventilator settings (invasive or non-invasive ventilation).
